This weekend we celebrated the engagement of two wonderful “kids”. His family is our chosen family, and she is a wonderful addition. This event, hosted Tsillan Cellars Woodinville , brought together many of the kids we raised as a village and it was just THE BEST evening! BTW, Tsillan Cellars did a wonderful job managing the event, keeping glasses and food tables filled.

Ah, books!! I loved being read to as a child. In elementary school I saved my allowance money to buy books at the school book fairs. As an adult I’ve transitioned to audiobooks since I can’t find the time to read a paperback.
Entering parenthood is a whole new book in your life. A new story begins, each chapter takes you on a journey. It’s a wild ride!

A Navy Family Ombudsman plays a vital role in communicating official information from COs down to Navy families. They provide valuable information to families about local resources, support, and deployment/relocation tools. They assist families during emergencies, while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
As the daughter of a Navy lifer, I know how so much change can be overwhelming at times. I was happy to be a part of celebrating these wonderful helpers.

Stop by tomorrow, Sept 19, between 10am - noon for a little porch pop-up. While I won’t have decorated cookies, I will have some fun drop cookies, rice cereal treats, Furikake snack mix, and other yummy treats. Hope to see you!

Not having a lot of cookie orders on my calendar right now is freeing me up to make all the fun things I don’t usually have time to make, like these Blue Monster cookies.
These cookies are chock full of chopped up mini Oreos, mini Chips Ahoy, and semisweet, milk, and white chocolate chips.
I missed my neighborhood Farmers Market while I was in Texas so I’m considering a porch pop-up this weekend. If you’re local, are you interested? Vote in my poll!
