I know itā€™s hard to believe September is right around the corner, especially in this heat, but pumpkin spice season is starting to creep in!

Our Pumpkin Spice Loaves are incredibly moist, topped with chocolate chips, and completely dairy-free, although youā€™d never guess it. As always, theyā€™re baked with high-quality ingredients and no seed oils.

The recent July 2026 UC Davis avocado oil study caught my attention. Researchers tested 54 packaged foods marketed as containing avocado oil and found that 48 were adulterated with less expensive oils. (UC Davisā ļæ¼)

This isnā€™t the first time UC Davis has raised concerns about avocado oil. Their June 2020 study found that 82% of commercial bottled avocado oils tested were either rancid or mixed with other oils, followed by a May 2023 study finding similar issues among many private-label avocado oils. Iā€™ve been using Marianneā€™s avocado oil for quite some time at Philosophy Eats, so I was very happy to learn that their avocado oil is independently tested for purity and Seed Oil Free CertifiedĀ®.
