Update on the interactive gingerbread. It was played with multiple times. The animals found themselves in and out of the Ark and around the living room. One of our granddaughter's favorite things was to pull the coconut "straw" out of the Ark and feed the animals (where ever they happened to be in the living room at the time). The gingerbread, Ark and animals, held up really well!

As for Gingerbread-by-designs Smackdown online contest, I won an award for "Favorite Gingerbread Means of Transportation" 😆

Gingerbread Noah's Ark. When I made gingerbread while our kids were growing up, they could not run and jump in the house during assembly and weren't supposed to touch the completed gingerbread while on display. Years later, I intentionally designed this piece to be interactive for an active 2 year old. We will see how it goes :-)
