Congratulations to the 6 Tree City Carver members who combined had a total 27 entries in the Carving category of the Woodworking Division at Portage County Randolph Fair. These TCC carvings and pyrography plus many more by other outstanding carvers will be on display for two more days, Saturday and Sunday at the fair. We will have carvers working on their carvings displaying and explaining some of their works in progress.

Photos from last weeks Show and Tell portion of our meeting. Our next Carve-In will be this Wednesday August 26, 6:00 at the Roy Smith Shelter in Kent. All are welcome to attend. We have starter kits available for wannabe carvers.

Four members of the Tree City Carvers were present at the Cook Forest Center for the Arts 2026 Woodcarving Show this past weekend. Bob Stadtlander had a room full of his fantastic array of carving supplies available and also has a 5 day relief carving workshop which ends tomorrow. It was a pleasure to have Chuck Reminder help support the carving competition with his approximately 14 entries. He was pleased to be awarded 2 First place Division Winners, 5 or 6 blue ribbons and many 2nd and third place awards. Jan McClure and Earl Pamfilie had six entries between them with all 6 receiving a ribbon plus a First Place division winning ribbon. Please enjoy the images of some of the entries.

Tree City Carver Doug Straight moderated our Show and Tell portion of our recent membership meeting. Please enjoy the images carved and wood burned by some of our membership. Our next Carve-In will be this Wednesday evening at 6:00. All carvers and wannabe carvers are invited to attend.

The Tree City Carvers have been invited by Kent Free Library, 312 W Main Street, Kent, OH to present a month long display during May of our carvings and Pyrography. Inside the main entrance we are proud to present the artistry of 16 of our carvers. Stay tuned as we will publish more photos in the coming days.

Del Proudfoot was moderator for the Show and Tell portion of our membership meeting earlier this week. Our next Carve-In will be Wednesday, May 13 starting at 6:00 in the Roy Smith shelter 497 Middlebury Rd, Kent OH. All carvers and wanna be carvers are welcome to attend. We have starter kits for those who want to give it a try.
