As I pen down this message, my heart swells with gratitude for the incredible support you've showered upon Oh My Yum over the past three years. Your unwavering encouragement has been the secret ingredient to our success, and for that, I am truly thankful.
Embarking on the journey of starting a business is akin to savoring a new and unexplored dishâit's a risk that's both thrilling and challenging. Oh My Yum was born out of a passion for flavors and a dream to create something extraordinary. The entire process of bringing this dream to life, from inception to now, has been a tumultuous yet rewarding ride.
Over the past month, I've noticed a shared struggle among bakeries near and far. Businesses that I have followed for years and that have been to the top. It's a stark reminder of the delicate nature of small businesses. I didn't start Oh My Yum to merely get by or create another job for myself. My vision was to build something that would thrive, and sometimes, reality forces us to reassess our dreams.
I refuse to operate a struggling business or a business that canât give you 100%. Mediocre is not the standard. It's a tough decision, but one made with the intention to protect my energy and peace. It's time to enter a place of rest and steward over everything that God has given me. This decision is not without a tinge of sadness, but it's a necessary step in the recipe of life.
Many people hold onto struggling ventures to avoid shame, but I have nothing to be ashamed of. I embarked on this journey with boldness and a vision, and I stand by that.
I've never been much of a talker; I often let my actions speak for me. And today, as I announce the closure of Oh My Yum, I do so with a heart full of pride for the moments we've shared and the flavors we've created together. No regrets.
Through every twist and turn, I've held onto the unwavering belief that God is faithful. As I transition into this new season, I carry that faith with me. Trusting Him has been the cornerstone of this journey, and I will continue to lean on His faithfulness even more.
To each of you who has walked through our doors, shared a moment over a delicious treat, or supported us in any wayâthank you. Your smiles have been the icing on our cakes, and your encouragement has fueled our journey.
Oh My Yum has been more than a businessâit's been a shared experience, a community united by the love for good food. I want to express my deepest gratitude for being a part of this delectable adventure.
As the doors of Oh My Yum close, another door opens, and I look forward to what the future holds. Thank you for your patronage, your smiles, and your shared joy. May your culinary adventures continue to be as rich and flavorful as the moments we've shared.
