**Our Market Family Needs Support**
Today, our Kenosha Public Market family is holding one of our own close in our hearts.
One of our vendors, Angelique Muchka, and her family experienced a devastating house fire on the morning of June 6, 2026. The fire destroyed the home, personal belongings, business materials, equipment, supplies, and products that Angelique worked so hard to build over the years.
Even more heartbreaking, the family also lost three beloved pets — two cats and one dog — cherished companions who brought so much love, comfort, and joy to their lives.
Angelique’s mother and youngest brother, who also lived in the home, have lost everything. Her brother made efforts to save the remaining animals and was barely able to escape safely himself.
Those who know Angelique and her family know how deeply devoted they are to their home, their animals, their business, and their community. They are kind, generous, hardworking people who have always shown up for others. Now, they are facing the unimaginable task of starting over.
Donations will help with emergency housing, clothing, food, personal necessities, essential belongings, and helping Angelique’s mother rebuild her business.
The family is also accepting donations of needed items, including:
Women’s clothing: medium/large
Women’s shoes: size 6
Young men’s clothing: small/large
Men’s shoes: size 10–10.5
Home furniture and household items
Anyone wishing to donate items can reach out to Angelique directly through Facebook to make arrangements.
No amount of support is too small. If you are unable to donate, sharing this post or the fundraiser would mean so much.

Please keep Angelique, her mother, her brother, and their entire family in your thoughts during this heartbreaking time. This is what community is about — surrounding one another with care when it is needed most.
