There's nine days until requests close for holiday cookie trays! Don't miss out!
As a reminder, here's the lineup:
Chocolate chip with walnuts and flaky sea salt: delicious, classic chocolate chip cookie with three different sugars in it, topped with Maldon sea salt. These stay soft for weeks, not that they'll last that long...
Snickerdoodle: a true cinnamon lover's cookie, I make these with Vietnamese cinnamon from Penzey's. Vietnamese cinnamon is the boldest variety on Earth. I not only roll the cookies in it, but also have a generous dose of it in the dough itself. Thell
Double chocolate chip: a love letter to chocolate, I use a flavorful cocoa powder blend and Ghirardelli semisweet chips
Peanut butter: a departure from the peanut butter cookies you're used to, these are less sweet than other cookies because I'm using freshly ground peanut butter for a sweet and salty combo that isn't cloyingly sweet or too much. This melts in your mouth instead of sticking to the roof of your mouth
Billionaire's shortbread: A rich and buttery shortbread topped with a layer of caramel chocolate ganache. Made with dark chocolate, 83% butterfat European butter in both the cookie and the caramel and my luxurious Sri Lankan vanilla, this is by far the fanciest cookie on these trays. Truly, the diva of the plate.
Chocolate fudge: my only non-cookie offering is my family recipe fudge. I have been making this for two and a half decades, it is lusciously chocolatey and addictive
All of these treats are made with my homemade vanilla extract. I have been making vanilla extract for five years now and it is high quality. I use supple, oily grade A vanilla beans and a neutral alcohol, so that the vanilla beans can shine in the finished product. This year I have used Sri Lankan vanilla* for my shortbread, Ecuadorian vanilla for my fudge, and Madagascar Bourbon Cure vanilla for the other 4 cookies. This is genuinely a treat, don't have FOMO!
*For reference, I gift and use for gifted baked goods for big events (or milestones) the Sri Lankan vanilla because of how wonderful the flavor profile of these vanilla beans are. I fondly refer to this as the cashmere of vanilla. The flavor notes of Sri Lankan vanilla beans include coffee, caramel, and chocolate. I do not sell this variety of vanilla extract, unlike other varieties, due to the price. You cannot buy this extract from a store, so don't miss your chance to try it this December! π
