Good stormy evening, I wanted to post a picture of our rose petal jelly after I read some comments. I had not even thought about making jelly but had so many blooms today that opened and decided to test a small batch of rose petal jelly. It turned out so much nicer than the commercially produced product that I’ve tasted in the past, they may have contained essential oils or other additions, our jelly is so delicate and I can’t wait to use it at the bakery soon

I just finished harvesting our first edible rose petals for use in our bakery, the apricot coloured petals taste like a honey apricot, the pink petals are supposed to tased like rose but it’s a very faint flavor. I’m really looking forward to working with so many new herbs and flowers from our bakery garden.

Good afternoon, I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their messages and support during the past couple of weeks as JP recovers. We have a long road ahead and it’s been very tough without his help. He is under Dr’s orders to rest and reduce stress and he’s listening!!!!
I’m so thankful for all the vendors at Kalamazoo Farmers Market who’ve helped us set up and been such a great support over the last few weeks. I’m forever grateful for this 1.5% of the population who grow our food and have made sure that we are well fed during this time. Crisp Country Acres , chicken, Chosen Family Farm Will earth farm Silverbeet Farm I am in awe of those that chose to work the land and share their bounty with us.

Good morning, here I am in the cooler looking at our beautiful local strawberry tarts and checking one while the staff also taste them. This fleeting fruit season brings so much joy and we use them every way that we can. We may only have these another week so make haste.

Good afternoon, our cases are full and we would love to see you today or over the next few days. It’s screaming hot in the bakery and we have ordered a new AC several weeks ago, which is very necessary, hoping that it’s installed soon. Your support is greatly appreciate during this hot weather
