For anyone who knows me, you know I research everything! I spend hours Googling, reading reviews, and educating myself before making a decision.
When we started our homesteading journey, I didn’t know anyone in the community. Everything was new and a little overwhelming, but over the past year, I’ve discovered how supportive and generous this community is.
Liza from BusyB Goat Farm introduced me to dairy goats and continues to be an incredible mentor. She’s answered countless questions, eased my worries, celebrated my wins, and helped me find the right goats for my experience. Along with Liza, Morgan from 𝓜𝓸𝓻𝓰𝓪𝓷 𝓜𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓮𝓵𝓵 has helped me with so many questions, opinions, multiple buck services, and just being a wonderfully patient person.
Kristin from Kristin Plante, CVT - Sugar Top Farm, LLC introduced us to Muscovy ducks, raising our own meat, and expanding our garden adventures. From broody ducks and wing clipping to tractor designs and processing, she’s been an amazing resource.
And Amanda from Lala and Justin’s Homestead helped us navigate our unexpected Holland Lop bunny adventure with kindness, patience, and plenty of knowledge.
So, this is a HUGE thank-you to the homesteading community! Whether you’re sharing knowledge, answering endless questions, bartering, or helping someone find the right breeding stock, you make this journey less overwhelming and so much more rewarding.
Homesteading is about more than what we grow, raise, or produce. It’s also about the people who help us get there—and I’m so grateful to be finding my place in this community.
