Bluebird has been busy! 🍂🐦
There’s something new happening alongside all the cakes, cookies and treats coming out of the Bluebird Cakery kitchen! I’m so excited to introduce Bluebird’s Hearth, my new Etsy shop featuring Bluebird designs for the whole flock—from the littlest Bluebirds to the grown-ups. 💙

A chocolate cake is hiding under these beautiful pastel colors. Pretty colors for a pretty birthday girl! Happy Birthday!

This half chocolate and half vanilla pirate ship has been on my books since the beginning of the year. It was nice to finally have it come to life! It came complete with malt ball cannon balls and sugar sheet sails. Happy Birthday, to the little pirate!🏴‍☠️

This was a cake for a granddaughter’s birthday. My job was to bake, frost and add di**le balls to this cake. The grandmother, who is a very talented baker, whisked the cake away to their party and decorated the rest of the way with disco balls, candles and other decorations on sticks. When this is the case, I anxiously wait for pictures to see the completed project! I love to see the end result.

I ran across these pictures the other day of a cake we did years ago. I don’t remember taking them “in progress” but it brings back memories of all that went into it. The cake was life size with the head traveling separately to the party. We put it together there and heard that they didn’t cut the head at the party, but later, put it in the freezer. Can you imagine opening your freezer and seeing this thing staring out at you?!

Almost time!!! Cookies are getting packaged. Cakes are getting frosted and everything is almost ready to go! We will be at Moosehaven for the July 4th celebration and fireworks. It starts at 5pm with the fireworks around 9:15pm. Our menu will be as follows, chocolate M&M cookies, sprinkle sugar cookies, royal icing flag cookies, strawberry mini cakes, chocolate mini cakes and Coffee Lovers chocolate mini cakes! Oh, and WATER!!!! See ya there! 🇺🇸
