As a little girl, I knewādeep in my bonesāthat I was meant to be an artist.
Creating wasnāt just something I loved to do; it was part of who I was.
I dreamed of going to art school and poured everything I had into building my portfolio. When it wasnāt accepted by the schools I applied to, I was crushed. At the time, it felt like the dream Iād carried for so many years had slipped away.
Then I became a mom.
Wanting to make my childrenās birthdays special, I taught myself how to decorate cakes. Somewhere between mixing buttercream, learning new techniques, and staying up far too late perfecting every detail, I realized something:
I hadnāt stopped being an artist. I had simply found a new canvas.
That realization became the beginning of Custom Cakes by Kait.
Years later, I graduated from Escoffierās Pastry Arts program, refining the skills that had grown from a simple desire to create something beautiful.
Today, every cake I design is thoughtfully curated for your celebration. My goal is to create more than a beautiful dessertāitās to create a piece of your story that youāll remember long after the last slice has been served.
As youāve probably noticed, Custom Cakes by Kait has a refreshed look. This new logo reflects the business Iāve been growing into, but the heart behind it has never changed.
