Maybe he’s a Peach Pie guy who always goes back for a second slice. Maybe he’s loyal to Pecan. Maybe he claims he doesn’t want dessert and then somehow ends up eating half the pie.

DUUUVAL, don’t miss us too much💛

The pie lady is headed to DC for a week of teaching, press stops, meetings, and a little bit of adventure.

The shop will be closed while we’re away, but we’ll be back Friday, June 12th with fresh slices and stories to tell.

Today is Lucas’ last day at the pie shop before he heads off to Dallas to do big life things, and we’re feeling all the feelings.

We’ve watched him go from a little boy who groaned every time he got “dragged into the kitchen again” to a young man who can top pies, work a crowd, solve a problem, and make a genuine connection with just about anyone he meets.

Somewhere along the way, the kid helping out at the family business became a huge part of what makes this place feel like home.

We couldn’t be prouder of the man he’s become, and while we’re excited to see where life takes him next, we’re going to miss seeing his face behind the counter every week and our sofa 😩.

If you’ve ever shared a laugh, a story, or trusted a slice recommendations from Lucas, stop by the booth today and help us send him off with a smile. 💛🥧
