After careful consideration, Indianola Community School District will cancel school for students on Friday, May 29, 2026. This means Thursday, May 28, 2026, will be the final day of school for all students (including Irving Elementary), with a normal dismissal time.

This decision was made after reviewing staffing needs and operational considerations across the district during an already ​complex end-of-year week. ​In making this decision, the District ensured that ​t​he adjustment ​d​id not impact high school final exams or district instructional hour requirements.

​ICC will also be closed on Friday, May 29.

We understand this change may create challenges for some families and sincerely appreciate your flexibility, grace, and support. Thank you for your partnership as we work to navigate the final week of school together.

The Summer Meal Program is back for summer 2026! ☀️

Free Grab & Go meals will be available for all kids at Indianola Middle School from June 8 through July 30. Pick-up is available on Mondays and Thursdays from 11:00am-12:30pm and 3:00-4:30pm.

No sign-up is required, and meals are available on a first come, first served basis. Meals are for EVERYONE!

today we celebrated our LIW teachers + staff by brining in the ever so talented Danielle with The Coffee Nook - Indianola to serve up some DELICIOUS coffee and our very own Mrs Naughton provided fresh Yummy’s donuts for all staff as well! what a fun and delicious smelling morning it’s been at LIW!!
