Good morning and happy Monday! One of the questions we get all the time here at Zip Bandit is about swelling after banding.

If you notice swollen testicles after banding, that means the band hasn’t been applied properly. It usually comes down to placement or tension.

Before applying the band, make sure both testicles are fully pulled down into the sack. Then, when using the Zip Bandit, keep pulling until the zip tie head is snug against the rubber.

Both proper placement and full tension are what stop blood flow. If either step is missed, blood flow can return within a couple of days, causing swelling and an unsuccessful band.

Good morning, friends! Have you ever heard that you should band calves by the moon? 🌙

It’s a tradition many farmers and ranchers still follow, often using guides like the The Old Farmer’s Almanac to choose the best days. Some believe it can lead to less stress, less bleeding, and faster healing.

Science hasn’t fully proven it, but plenty of experienced producers still swear by it.
