Day 2 of the Global Breadfruit Summit. Today’s inspiration came from both the youth and the Kupuna. We started off hearing from Chef Robynne Mai’s of Fete. We learned that Ulu in Puerto Rico is called the “pork chop of the branch.” We learned about the many different preparations and uses. Did you know that ulu waste can be transformed into ethanol? Vodka? Whiskey?
We slipped out to do a little shopping and then the day ended with a sunset Ulu dinner where we connected w Chef Sam Choy. What a great way to spend 48 years around the sun! Thank you to everyone who made my birthday special ❤️

Day 1 @ the Global Breadfruit Summit. “Hear the voice of the Kupuna Hear the voices of the young bring authority back to the table!”
We learned about the farmers and Breadfruit around the world. Did you know that Hawaii only has 1 varietal and there are over 50 worldwide.
After a great day of travel and manao of course went to visit KTA Super Stores. We ended the day w dinner and a beautiful sunset!
