What an incredible evening for March 2 Main! 🍦✨

We had an absolute blast seeing all the new and returning students from Fort Hays State University, Fort Hays Tech | North Central, and Hays Academy of Hair Design in Downtown Hays!

Between the FHSU marching band bringing the energy and GALLONS of ice cream (for the root beer floats), downtown Hays was buzzing with excitement. A huge shoutout to Chief of Police Don Scheibler for jumping in on scooping duty to help us serve up smiles! 🍨👮‍♂️

We’re so proud to be part of this community and can’t wait to see you all down on The Bricks this school year! 💛🖤

Fresh Rain, Fresh Canvas! 🌧️🎨

The recent rain washed our sidewalks completely clean giving us a perfect blank slate... and it didn't take long for our local artists to get right back to work! Someone already took the opportunity to draw an awesome DoodleBob character (think 2-dimensional SpongeBob) right out front alongside a pretty pink flower!

Want to join in on the fun? We've included a map highlighting all of the eligible areas in teal where you can draw, which includes all of the Main Street sidewalks and the North (6th St.) sidewalk next to the shop.

Here is how it works:
- Grab your supplies: Stop by our walk-up window and ask our staff for a bucket of chalk.
- Get creative: Add your own family-friendly doodles, characters, or positive messages. (Please don't write or draw anything questionable or derogatory!)
- Wrap it up: Bring the bucket of chalk back to the window when you're done so the next artist can take a turn.
- Treat yourself: Grab your favorite ice cream to enjoy while you create!

Here is how it works:
- Grab your supplies: Head over to our walk-up window and ask our team for a bucket of chalk. 🪟
- Pick your canvas: You are welcome to draw in any of the teal-highlighted areas shown on the map. This includes all of the Main Street sidewalks as well as the north (6th St.) sidewalk! 👀
- Keep it clean: We love seeing your creativity, but please keep all artwork family-friendly! 👪
- Wrap it up: Once your masterpiece is complete, simply bring the bucket of chalk back to the window so the next artist can take a turn. 🎨
- When it rains: We start over! 🌧

Come down, grab your favorite ice cream, and let’s make downtown a little brighter today! ✨
