Quick update: Prayers are being answered in abundance. 🙌💖

My next step is getting Columbia County to do my initial inspection soon so I know to what extent the alterations to the plumbing, and electrical will be needed and the cost. The ventilation hood over the ovens will be the biggest project. Once this inspection is done, I will be signing the lease. I have ZERO doubt that this is where I am meant to be. I am fortunate to have a property owner who is actually involved in the management and I can't wait to start my storefront at a location that has nostalgic meaning to many locals. 💇
I will be located in Martinez off of Washington Rd.

Soooo....I did a thing... It has been a loooonnnggg time coming! I have put the wheels in motion to open a storefront!!!!!
I have had so much continued support from ya'll and it tears at my heart to keep telling people no. No, I can't make your cake because I don't have the room. No, I can't make your cake because it's a conflict of interest with working for another bakery. I 1000% miss creating custom cakes my way. Like over the top fun colorful creative unique cakes. I also love making the old fashioned cakes; cakes that envoke memories of family get togethers, memaws and grannies and maybe even grandpa. Who remembers homemade cheese straws, butter mints or divinity during the holidays?? 🙋‍♀️ I won't be making cupcakes, cookies or pastries. There won't be a case, nor coffee. Just cake with specialty candies (not chocolates) to follow. My future business plan makes room for cake decorating classes and space for other baker's/creators/charities to be visible.
I'm not releasing info on the location until I have signed the lease but that is in motion! It will be in Martinez. There is much to do before this next door can officially open.

I'm going to be selfish now...... I ask that if you are so inclined please leave a review on Google, and I ask once again for prayers.

I just wanted to give a shout out to two veteran owned local small businesses for supporting a local veteran owned non-profit.

Yesterday I FINALLY went to see what Project Lifting Spirits volunteer sewing day was about.
I stopped by my favorite bakery to grab a few goodies to share with the other volunteers. Let me tell you, Kyrie of Lazarette St. Bakeshop is so amazing that she immediately gave me a special discount once I told her where I was going with said goodies. She actually wanted to donate it but I wouldn't let her. 💖 Located at 5110 Wrightsboro Rd suite b, Grovetown, GA.

Then I headed to the Country Barn Quilt Co where I was greeted with a smile by the owners who open their doors and offer their sewing machines to Project Lifting Spirits. This place is amazing!! It is located at 3905 Roberts Rd unit A, Martinez, GA 30907.
