Pitcher Bees knees 🐝🐝🐝Okay remember that honey simple syrup we made? Time to put it to use. This recipe makes about 10 servings (a couple more if you’d like to top off with club soda)
🐝2 2/3 cup Gin
🐝1 cup fresh squeeze lemon juice
🐝3/4 cup of honey simple syrup (more or less to taste)
Mix all into a bottle or pitcher. Serve over ice if you want a little more fizzy drink top off with club soda. Garnish with a mint leaf or lemon wedge.

I learned really early on in motherhood that you are the creator of whimsy in your home especially with all boys. It sounds silly but when I say this in my own booth and thought “well how cute is that” I was so thankful . I make things for the bakery that I use in my home. So thank you you sold me out. Along with our regular bakes you’ll see a lot more specialty items. Seasonal simple syrups, herb butters and things that will make your next summer picnic feel so special.

You asked and I’m delivering. Cocktail and mocktail recipes. If there’s one recipe you should have in your back pocket this ☀️summer is this honey simple syrup. It’s easy and so versatile. Add a slash to ice tea, pour a little in a latte or mix with cold foam use to make cocktails. Use instead of sugar when making whipped cream. You get the point. This will be the base for the next two summer cocktails I’ll be sharing so make this ahead and store in the fridge for up to a week.
This is really more ratio than a recipe. The ratio is 2:1 (2 parts water and one part honey) for mine I used 2 cups of water and 1 cup of honey. Bring this to a boil and then let simmer until it’s all mixed and thickens a little. I like my simple syrup really pourable so I simmer for about 2min. Let completely cool and place in a jar in the fridge for your next drink. Enjoy

How do I explain to people that sometimes when I’m bored I just start cooking🤷🏽‍♀️
🧺🍓picnic and cold drink season is upon us so here are a few things prepped for the week
🍓blueberry jam
🍓limoncello
🍓iced tea on repeat (my boys have been loving this)
🍓cold brew coffee
🍓berry shrub (either with sparking water or a cocktail)
🍓simple syrups (honey and sugar)
🍓sliced all my bread for the week
*not pictured washes veggies, meat defrosting and chicken grilled

I’m not sure how I was blessed beyond measure with getting to do life along side these amazing ladies. Truly it’s been an answer to prayer in so many way. thanks for letting us celebrate you this weekend with the best ladies.

This is who you support when you shop local. Trying to find these photos made my heart miss those early years of motherhood. It was so so chaotic (5 under 7) but it was so fun. Our lives look different in some ways now. For one 2 of em are taller than me but we still do life along side each other and grow this business together ❤️

Friday Introductions: Hi I’m Leslie Karst owner and head baker here at Karst and Sons. I work along side my husband and 5 sons creating organic and local ingredient baked goods. My boys say this is the most “me” photo ever😂😂 5 facts about me
🌷1. I love the Lord and my faith is the lens I live through.
🌷2. I’m a homebody I have become the epitome of “we have food at home” (my mom would be so proud) why go out? I can make good food, good coffee, good drinks etc at home with better ingredients
🌷3. Plus my chicken and my books are there! Which brings me to number 3 I love reading mostly classics
🌷4. I love music, all kinds, really random stuff sometimes but there is almost always music playing in our home
🌷I love being a mom. It’s hard of course but seriously it’s my favorite job ever and if I could have I would have had 5more kids 🤣🤷🏽‍♀️
