My new favorite bread 🍞:
Its called Dinkel-Roggen-Landbrot (Spelt-Rye-Landbread- I know some translations are weird 😅)
It's a very flavorful bread, it reminds me a lot of home!

I will have that available on my next baking day which will be Monday May 18th! (Next week!)
along with Prezels.

‼️a heads up: I'll only have two more baking days before we leave for our summer trip (back to Germany to see family and friends)
We will be gone until the end of July!
If you want to stack up on prezels, sourdough bread, sweet treats this is the chance 🥰🤣

Another European cake: 'Donauwelle'

Donauwelle (Danube Wave) is a classic German/Austrian sheet cake featuring layers of vanilla and cocoa pound cake, sour cherries, vanilla custard buttercream, and a chocolate glaze. Cherries are pressed into the batter, creating a "wavy" internal pattern.

This is a truly unique cake, made for a very special birthday girl. 🎂🎉❤️

It features a five-layer sponge cake with a tasty buttercream filling, all wrapped in a pastel blue cream cheese-buttercream.
Each layer is individually baked in vibrant rainbow colors.

Tuesday was a blast! Ladder of Learning Preschool in Corvallis had a theme week, and Tasty Tuesday was the perfect chance to show the little ones how to make cupcakes from scratch. It was cool for them to whip up a batter with flour, sugar, butter, eggs from our happy hens, and fresh lemon juice, then mix it all with a mixer. The end result was a yummy lemon muffin for snack time. Thanks, Ladder of Learning Preschool , for having me and letting me show the kids how to make a sweet treat.
