Today feels especially meaningful.

This photo was taken in 1944—my father, just two years old, holding an American flag. Standing behind him is his father, in uniform during WWII, and on either side are his aunts.

My dad would grow up to serve as an Army sergeant himself… a quiet thread of service woven through generations.

On Memorial Day, we remember those who gave their lives for our country—and we honor the families and legacies shaped by that sacrifice.

At our little bakery, we’re grateful for the freedom to gather, bake, and share life’s simple sweetness.

Today, we remember. 🇺🇸And we give thanks.

This engagement celebration was truly out of this galaxy!

Set under a sky full of love, we created a dreamy spread of vanilla and chocolate cupcakes, each one topped with silky vanilla bean buttercream and the sweetest galactic details.
From Han Solo and The Mandalorian to R2D2 and Darth Vader—every character made an appearance, alongside tiny light sabers and shimmering galaxy sprinkles.

Shawna knew exactly what she wanted for her 22nd birthday—our sugar cookies topped with dreamy buttercream instead of a traditional cake. And honestly? She might be onto something.

She told us they’re the most delicious cookies she’s ever had, and we couldn’t be more honored to be part of her special day.

Whipped up the sweetest little mini lemon curd cakes for our oldest daughter’s baby shower this weekend 🍋
Our younger daughter poured her heart into throwing and hosting the shower, and it turned out absolutely beautiful from start to finish.
Grateful for these moments, these memories, and the joy of celebrating new life with family.
PS it’s a girl! Coming in mid-May!
PPS big bro is in the last pic. He loved the cake and icing but asked me to scrape out the lemon curd!!! 🤣

POV: You raise your daughters, teach them everything you know… and then they turn around and become your most important clients 😂

Throwing it back today because I realized I never properly shared the wedding cake I had the honor of making for my daughter… and that was five years ago—before Warner Cottage Bakery was even a thing 🤍✨

Looking back, every detail feels even sweeter now… and yes, I may have been a little more emotional than usual delivering that one.

And because apparently we like to keep things moving around here—this week I’m in the kitchen working on baby layered cakes for my other daughter’s baby shower this weekend 🍼🎂

So in summary:
One daughter = married 💍
One daughter = having a second baby 👶
Me = somewhere between buttercream, happy tears, and asking “wait… how did we get here so fast?!”

Wouldn’t trade it for the world 🤍
