🌽 IMPORTANT MARKET UPDATE — SEPTEMBER 5TH 🌽
🚨 THE GRAND ISLAND AREA FARMERS MARKET WILL BE CLOSED SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5TH. 🚨
This was not an easy decision, but after careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our September 5th market due to the Nebraska State Fair.
At our August 29th market, we experienced significant challenges with traffic backups, customer complaints, low attendance, and very low vendor sales. We heard your concerns, and we also heard from our vendors about the impact the fair traffic had on their businesses.
Our market exists to support our local farmers, producers, makers, bakers, and small businesses, and we want our vendors to have the best possible opportunity to succeed. After seeing the challenges firsthand, we believe cancelling for the final weekend of the State Fair is the best decision for our vendors, customers, and the market as a whole. ❤️

🚨 EL GRAND ISLAND AREA FARMERS MARKET ESTARÁ CERRADO EL SÁBADO 5 DE SEPTIEMBRE. 🚨
Esta NO fue una decisión fácil, pero después de considerarlo cuidadosamente, hemos tomado la difícil decisión de cancelar nuestro mercado del 5 de septiembre debido a la Feria Estatal de Nebraska.
En nuestro mercado del 29 de agosto, enfrentamos varios desafíos importantes, incluyendo largas filas de tráfico, quejas de clientes, poca asistencia y ventas muy bajas para nuestros vendedores. Escuchamos sus comentarios y también escuchamos a nuestros vendedores sobre el impacto que el tráfico de la feria tuvo en sus negocios.
Nuestro mercado existe para apoyar a nuestros agricultores, productores, artesanos, panaderos y pequeños negocios locales, y queremos que nuestros vendedores tengan la mejor oportunidad posible de tener éxito. Después de ver estos desafíos de primera mano, creemos que cancelar durante el último fin de semana de la Feria Estatal es la mejor decisión para nuestros vendedores, clientes y el mercado en general. ❤️
