He’s 90 years old and still jumping with his girls. ❤️😂

Such a big day. ❤️

I started the morning with a croissant raffle, then my sisters came over for lunch and we spent part of the afternoon going through our mother’s jewelry boxes — trying things on, remembering pieces, telling stories and, naturally, acting like sisters 🤪 in between. 😂

Then we headed over to see our Dad, visited for a while and walked him down to his dining room.

And somehow that turned into… “Everybody jump!” 😂

So apparently I stocked up on some BIG ENERGY today… because tonight I’m cutting croissants and tomorrow is BAKE DAY! 🥐

Family, memories, jewelry, jumping and croissants.

That’s a pretty good Wednesday. ❤️

Here’s something I didn’t realize until I started looking at my page insights: Facebook makes it VERY hard to tell who’s actually following and who just sees me all the time.

So, if Facebook is already showing you my breads, croissants, kitchen shenanigans and BreadHouse Life in your feed, you probably assume you already hit that little Follow button. But maybe not!

So, when you see my post or reel pop up, would you take two seconds and peek at my page to make sure that button says Following?

Following really does help my little page grow and helps Facebook know you actually WANT to keep seeing what I’m up to.

So… after all this time together…

I REMEMBERED I MAKE THE RULES. 😂🥐 Menu Monday CROISSANTS and Sourdough BANANA BREAD only!

I said I wasn’t baking this week. I even told a handful of you I wouldn’t be.

Then I decided I want croissants. 😂
And if I’m making croissants for me, I might as well make a few extra. And heck since I have bananas let’s make some BANANA BREAD!

So I’m opening up a limited number of orders for Thursday pickup in Godley.

And this may be the last croissant bake for several weeks, so if you’ve been wanting some, this is probably the week to grab them.

$10 per order

I Used my SOURDOUGH DISCARD for my FRIED CHICKEN. 😳🐓 AND. YALL!

What’s the strangest thing YOU’VE ever made with sourdough discard?

Tonight’s little BreadHouse experiment: SOURDOUGH FRIED CHICKEN.

And I need you to understand the scale I’m judging this on. 😂

My favorite fried chicken, (beside my own)KFC is my #1. Church’s is my #2.

And this?

This is not automatically #3 — this is a legitimate contender for BOTH of those top spots. 😂🙌 YES MA’AM I AM SERIOUS!

CRISPY, flavorful, juicy… and yes, the sourdough discard was the batter before it hit the cast-iron skillet!

Dinner was fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, a couple of leftover croissants because obviously 😂🥐 — and a glass of wine while everything finished up.

I may have just opened an entirely new category of things I’m willing to put sourdough discard into. 😂

My SOURDOUGH STARTER has its own passport. 😂✈️🥖

If your starter had a passport, WHERE would IT’S FIRST stamp BE? ✈️🥖🌎

Meet Little Susie — my sourdough starter, my tiny travel companion, and apparently one of the most well-traveled starters I know! 😂🌎

She’s baked on 2 continents, in 3 countries (including Madrid, Spain and Linz am Rhein in Germany’s Rhineland-Palatinate region.) across multiple U.S. states, Texas state parks, and national parks!

She’s been packed into jars, hauled through airports, tucked into the motorhome, fed in unfamiliar kitchens… and she’s even traveled dehydrated when that was the safest way to get her there. 😂

And somehow, no matter where we are, a little flour, and water brings her right back to life.

So yes… I decided Little Susie officially needed her own passport. ✈️🌎
