PLEASE tell me I’m not the only one with a beauty routine that would horrify an actual makeup artist! 🤣

Welcome to my highly questionable GRWM!

First, please notice my makeup containers. They’re practically EMPTY. Apparently, I believe makeup should be used until the very last molecule is gone! No lie, that blush and eyeshadow are TEN YEARS OLD!

Vintage kitchen, vintage clothes, and now vintage makeup?! 😂

Second, is there even a noticeable difference between my BEFORE and AFTER makeup face? I’m thinking lipstick and mascara are doing ALL the heavy lifting here! 😂

And speaking of mascara… WHO applies it like that?! Holding the wand still while batting my eyelashes like a crazy woman?! 🙋‍♀️ Apparently, ME!

That lotion?? yeah, it’s Nivea, in the tin can, Nivea! I don’t know what it’s really used for but it’s been my go to since I was 13ish! Never used it? It’s wonderful and gives Crisco vibes!🤪😂 But I still love it!

My hair drying technique? BLOW THE DICKENS OUT OF IT and brush it out later! 😂

But somehow, after 62 years of winging it, I still manage to get myself out the door looking reasonably presentable!

It’s a do-it-yourself dinner kind of night at the BreadHouse!

My daughter swears by this protein-packed combination of ground beef, sweet potatoes, cottage cheese, avocado, and a drizzle of honey… so I gave it a try!

Doug? Loaded chili dogs and queso chips! 😂

Same kitchen. Two completely different dinner plans!

I BOUGHT THE MACHINE. APPARENTLY, TALENT WAS SOLD SEPARATELY!

HELP! I bought the espresso machine. Now who’s going to teach me how to use it?! ☕😂

Everyone knows I’m a HUGE coffee aficionado. Well, at least in my own mind!

Years ago, while staying at an Airbnb in Madrid, Spain, I fell in love with a little Dolce Gusto espresso machine. I ordered one when I got home, stocked up on pods, and lived happily ever after.

UNTIL…

One day while shopping, I spotted this Cuisinart espresso machine. Secretly, I was hoping Doug would talk me OUT of buying it.

Nope. He ENCOURAGED me! 😂

So home it came, and my daughter inherited the Dolce Gusto and all its pods.

And y’all… I have yet to make a truly GOOD espresso with this thing! I’ve made some downright awful ones!

Until today. Today was surprisingly… okay. Not great. Just okay. 🤣

I’ve made good espresso on little home machines before, so why is this one kicking my behind?!

Maybe I need YouTube tutorials. Maybe I need lessons. Maybe I need to hire a BARISTA to come to my house!

WHERE ARE MY ESPRESSO EXPERTS?! ☕

Two ingredients. Self-rising flour and heavy cream. That’s it!

No cutting in butter, no complicated recipe, and homemade biscuits on the table!

Double the recipe for bigger families! And if you like taller, fluffier biscuits, simply pat your dough a little thicker before cutting!
