What a beautiful day! Thank you to every single person who came out and supported pride not just our bakery. The happiness. The joy. The safety we all got to feel and experience for those short 5 hours will keep us going on the darkest days. Congratulations fayette on the first pride. We will see yall next year.

We have so many great speakers, performers, and activities you are all going to love!

✨We're opening at noon with a greeting from the City of Fayetteville's esteemed Mayor, Mayor Edward Johnson

✨Then at 12:10 Dewayne Q., Director of LGBTQ Affairs for the Atlanta Mayor's Office will speak to the crowd.

✨The parade steps off at 1pm and will pass by the Square at approximately 1:20 so get a good spot to watch it go by!

✨Next we have a solo performance from the amazing singer, Tony Thompson!

✨Things will really kick into gear at 2pm when your Grand Marshal, Taylor Alxndr takes the stage! There will be a drag performance and a RUNWAY CONTEST with cool prizes from our local businesses like gift cards and goodie bags!

✨At 2:45 Chris Pierce is going to serve up some b***y shaking dance music to get everyone moving!

✨At 3pm Southern Arc Dance will perform and then at 3:30 they will judge a DANCE COMPETITION with more prizes!

✨At 4pm the Atlanta Women's Chorus are performing and you do not want to miss their amazing voices!

✨At 4:30 TAYLOR ALXNDR ✊🏽🏳️‍⚧️🍉 and Friends from ✨House of ALXNDR✨ will wrap it up with an even bigger drag party!

✨At 5pm we're shutting it down but the party doesn't stop as many of our local businesses will keep it going with After Parties! See our website and other posts with all the details on those!

We said we wanted to go BIG for our first ever Fayette Pride and we think it's going to be a day to remember! Bring your friends, bring your fam, and we'll see you in the Square on August 1st! 🏳️‍🌈

Hi yall this is Lauren the baker of legacy bakery. I wanted to share one of the reasons I decided that griffin pride would be a perfect day to launch our business. I was raised in griffin. All the women in my family have taught me how to cook and the love of feeding people. But I have to say my grandma was one of the most influential people on my life especially when it came to cooking. I’ve loved cooking since I was 5 years old. I’ve also know I was gay since I was 9. I came out to my grandma at 13 and she didn’t try to change me or fix me. She just loved me. We still cooked together. We still ate together just now we talked about if I had a girlfriend. That’s it. That’s the legacy I want to continue. The love of feeding and taking care of people.
