We know a lot of you have plans with friends and family this weekend, so we’re baking plenty of brioche burger buns to go around. Whether you’re grilling at home, heading to a backyard BBQ, or bringing something to share, grab a few packs for the weekend!

Oat Porridge Honey Sourdough has been part of The Cottage from the beginning 🧡

Inspired by an original Tartine recipe, this loaf was one of the first recipes developed while The Cottage was still just an idea and went through plenty of test bakes in my parents’ garage. Since then it’s become a staple here in the bakery.

This loaf features a rolled-oat porridge, folded directly into the dough, giving the loaf a subtle sweetness, deeper flavor, and a little extra staying power. We lightly sweeten it with honey, naturally ferment it with our sourdough starter, and make it with local Skagit Valley grains 🍞🌾
