A little lengthy read....kind of like a newsletter.
Gratitude...it's what I am feeling today for our Easton Baking team and for our customers who clearly missed us while we were on vacation...nearly sold out of everything 😀
I planted a little flower garden in the front yard. I literally threw a bunch of seeds in the soil. Didn't know if anything would take...and go figure..sunflower and zinnia! I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed watching the Goldfinch, nuthatch, hummingbirds, cardinals and even a downy woodpecker! Ok...there is a squirrel who has been a little disruptive. He gets the hose from time to time. I don't mind the chipmunk so much!
Big news in the cake department! Vanerys is expecting and will soon be on maternity leave. Yes! She will be coming back! We did hire another awesome decorator, Jessica, with years of experience and a true professional, just like our Vanerys.
And as happens in August, time to say so long, for at least a little while to some of our college kids...Kaira, Mila, Nick and Symphony. We will miss them but they will be back for the holidays. Thank you to Patrick who is back home with his family in Guatemala and thank you to Jacob, who will hopefully come back soon to the Easton Baking team. We miss him. It's the people, people😊
