The vendors at Baker Street had the opportunity to work with a wonderful photographer, Jamie Meier, of ! Here are just a handful of those photos when she came by my booth on May 16.
Pictured, you’ll see my product (some sold out before Jamie arrived!), my little mascot, Sal de Pan (thanks for the name 🤣), chalk board writing by me and Charo, my mom, my helpers - Jacob and Rinoa, and little ol’ me in my homemade yellow dress 😝.
Thank you again, Jamie, and of course for my very first market as Mini Moon Bread 🌙. Can’t wait for the next one!

For June, I’ve always wanted to create a Filipino flag bread for Philippine Independence and a rainbow bread for Pride Month using all-natural colors. I’ve had some success before, but the red (beet powder) always turned kind of brown. This time I tried dragonfruit powder… and it was even worse 😅 Back to the drawing board.

Here’s my failed attempt. The dough was also way overfermented. Still, it’s good to document the misses so we can learn from them.

I need more time to experiment, and with an important event coming up, that’s not happening right now. But I’m not giving up on naturally colored bread. Just hitting pause for now.

Happy Philippine Independence Month 🇵🇭 and Happy Pride! 🏳️‍🌈

Salty. Buttery. Crispy. Crunchy. Highly addictive 🤤

These sourdough starter crackers are one of my best-sellers…and also one of the most labor-intensive things I make (why do I do this to myself 😅).

But then there’s that first bite and I remember exactly why.

For the Philippine Fiesta in West Orange on June 14, I’m keeping it simple. Of course I’m keeping the Original Flavor, but I’m also dropping a new flavor:

Longganisa-inspired 🇵🇭
Sweet meets savory with brown sugar, garlic, paprika, and black pepper — a nod to the beloved Filipino sausage, without the actual sausage!

No pre-orders. First come, first crunch 😉. Hope to see you there!

A little behind the scenes of my 1st market adventure 🤍

This one took a village.
Mom, Ev, Charo, Jill, Kris, Phil, Karon, Gen, Jacob & Rinoa…thank you. You held me down when my hands and brain were done.

It wasn’t perfect. I made a lot of mistakes. I learned from all of them.

And somehow, when the day came, it just felt good.
Good people, good conversations, new faces, new customers.

Shoutout to for running one of the best markets in NJ.

Already looking forward to the next one 🌙

What a day for a market! I definitely picked the right one to start with. The team was so organized and made it easy for us vendors to just focus.

I learned a lot about what hit (and what didn’t), and even sold out of a few items…such a blessing. I’m so grateful for my family and friends who helped before and during the market. You made this possible 🥹!

Didn’t get to explore as much as I wanted, but I’ll be back for that. Hoping I’ll be back for the next one!

Grateful, tired, and so proud. What a great day to be a small business 🤍

Hi, I’m Cynthia, the baker behind Mini Moon Bread 🌙
You can call me Cyn, Cyndy, or Sandy (story for another day).

I started baking in 2021 as a hobby, just playing around at home. Somewhere along the way, it became something I couldn’t ignore.

I struggled with confidence for a long time. Imposter syndrome is real when you’re putting something handmade out into the world. But I kept coming back to the same feeling… I love creating, and I wanted to build something that felt meaningful.

Mini Moon Bread is that for me.

Rustic, naturally leavened bread inspired by comfort and my Filipino roots.

Lately I’ve been working on sourdough with inclusions like roasted garlic, sun-dried tomato + rosemary, focaccia, and an ube babka made with more natural, Filipino-inspired ingredients.

I also try to give back each month through donations
(, and next month 💛)

Still growing, still learning, and really grateful you’re here 🤗

What’s your favorite kind of bread? Are you Team Sweet or Team Savory?

One month from today 🌙

Mini Moon Bread will be in Maplewood, NJ for the Spring Baker Street Flea on May 16th, and I’m so excited (and a little nervous, not gonna lie)!

This will be my first time popping up, and I’ll be bringing small batches of:
• Sourdough Starter Crackers
• Sourdough Pandesal
• Sourdough Country Loaves

Everything is naturally leavened, rustic, and made with a lot of care.

If you’re local, I’d love for you to stop by, say hi, and support small businesses like myself.

Follow to see all the vendors that will be there.
I’m counting down! 🥹
