A good friend reached out to me to make her twins' 16th birthday cakes. Every year, their favorites are a Chocolate Lava Cake and a Caramel Layer Cake.
I knew I could create a delicious chocolate cake, but the caramel cake was definitely a challenge because everything had to be caramel!
For the chocolate lover, I made a decadent chocolate cake filled with a lava-like layer of creamy chocolate ganache and finished with a rich chocolate buttercream.
For the caramel fan, I created a caramel cake with smooth caramel frosting and a homemade caramel topping for the ultimate caramel experience.
To make them even more special, both cakes were topped with their favorite chocolate bars.
Happy Sweet 16 to these amazing twins! 🎉🎂❤️
Oh and mom ordered a treat for herself - chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting 😊
