Some Oktoberfest traditions are worth getting your hands on. 🥨

Head Baker Tim and his team have been keeping the Brezel tradition alive for years, turning out more than 800 handmade Brezeln for a single Oktoberfest. Golden, chewy, and made for dunking in mustard.

The Brezel has long been part of German food culture, a natural companion to beer, good company, and a proper celebration.

So this year, we’re making plenty. Come hungry, grab a beer, and get ready to practice your Brezel grip. 🍺🥨

Oktoberfest returns to Guglhupf on Saturday, September 19, for an all-day celebration. Our regular menu will be available until 2 PM, when we’ll switch over to a special Oktoberfest menu for the festivities, including the costume contest and Stein Holding Contest.

Join us for good food, cold beer, live music, and plenty of Oktoberfest fun all day long.

🎉🩵🥨Big news, Durham — Oktoberfest returns to Guglhupf on Saturday, September 19th! 🎉🧡🥨

Clear your calendar and start gathering your people. We’re making a whole day of it, with the celebration building all afternoon and into the evening.

At 2pm, our one-day-only Oktoberfest menu takes over, the steins come out, live music fills the patio, and our favorite Oktoberfest contests bring a little friendly competition to the day.

North Carolina Polka Time Allstars and DJ Fuzzmuzz will keep the good times going while Chef Dave and his team serve up German-inspired bites made for sharing, snacking, and pairing with your favorite stein.

Come early, stay late, or drop in somewhere in between. There’s no schedule to keep and no ticket required — just good food, good music, and plenty of reasons to linger.

Just come hungry, raise a stein, and settle in for one of our favorite celebrations of the year.

We’ve made some big changes to how we handle things — new automated systems for our phone lines to get answers to you faster. Over 27 years, we’ve watched so much change, and we’ve always tried to meet it thoughtfully. We innovate. We evolve. We chase special food experiences that matter.

But this automation? It’s new territory for us, and honestly, we’re figuring out how to stay Guglhupf while we streamline. We want to get it right all the times, and we know we won’t always land there perfectly. Some of you might notice the difference. Some of it might feel clunky. And we need to know.
