Weekend Recap:

I was asked this week to participate in the WV Cupcake Festival, so I had a very short amount of time to prepare for what ended up being one of the biggest weekends I’ve had for Cakes by Kayley!

I didn’t even have enough time to purchase all of the containers I needed to package everything, but thankfully Beeg’s Bakes was so incredibly sweet and gave me some of theirs to use. I cannot thank her enough! I am SO thankful for small business owners who look out for each other!

After making 900 cupcakes for the festival, completing a 228-cupcake wedding order, making a birthday cake at 3 AM, a number 5 Minecraft cake, delivering and setting up a wedding, running a festival booth, and somehow surviving on Alani and two days of no sleep.

WE WALKED AWAY WITH A WIN… actually two!

Every vendor had to incorporate a West Virginia produced strawberry Jam into a set of cupcakes for the judges. I received a trophy and a plaque as Cupcake master. The Queens choice competition, every vendor entered two cupcakes they thought were their best. My Biscoff Cookie butter cupcakes won First Place.

I’m so incredibly proud of myself and so grateful for everyone who supported and helped Cakes by Kayley this weekend.❤️❤️❤️

I am SO excited to announce that Cakes by Kayley will be a vendor at the WV Cupcake Festival!

I’ll be bringing LOTS of cupcakes and some delicious flavors you won’t want to miss! We’re planning for at least 800 cupcakes!

🚜🧁 Two cupcake orders went out late last night & early this morning! 🧁✨

First up was this construction-themed pull-apart cupcake cake for Jacob! 🚧💛 Complete with construction trucks, edible dirt, rocks, grass, and of course… Nutella-filled and salted caramel-filled cupcakes! 🤎🍯

Then I made two dozen filled cupcakes for my sister-in-law’s birthday, also with a mix of Nutella and salted caramel! 😋🧁

I may not have gotten the best pictures of everything (especially when I’m working late into the night 😂), but I still wanted to share these because they were too cute — and too delicious — not to!

Thank you for keeping Cakes by Kayley busy! 🥹💕 I’m so grateful I get to make sweet treats for your special occasions!
