A new class has hit the schedule, and it’s arts and crafts in baking form!

Kaleidoscope Cookies, our brand new marbled shortbread class with Elana, is a 90 minute crash course in the fundamentals of a reliable shortbread dough, with time to swirl, tint and marble to your heart’s content. No two cookies will come out the same!

This class is beginner-friendly, great for families and kids, and suitable for anyone looking for a fun, colorful and creative project with a delicious result. Classes are live at the link in our bio: one opportunity in September and one in October. See you there!

A moment for the cafe.

Next week marks one year since our beloved Rebel cafe opened! Our space got a total refresh to truly match our brand and personality, courtesy of the talented team at Mad House Interior Design. Denver Bake Fest is coming back! 🥖✨ Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 3 from 9am–1pm, right in our parking lot in the Denver Design District.

Show off your skills in Denver’s community baking competition — open to all ages and experience levels, from home bakers to pros. Categories to be announced soon!

🍰 TASTE
Grab tasting tickets to try entries from 80+ bakers across six categories, plus bites from local vendors and sponsors.

📚 LEARN
Hands-on demos, talks from local bakers, and behind-the-scenes bakery tours — for seasoned bakers and newcomers alike.

The event is free to attend, and all tasting ticket proceeds benefit CHOW supporting mental health and community resources across the hospitality industry.

📣 Introducing our new class: Cream Puff Curriculum: An Intro to Choux Pastry!

Choux pastry (pronounced: "shoe") is unlike anything else in a baker's repertoire—no rolling pin, no leavening agent—just a handful of pantry staples & a technique that feels like magic. ✨

In this 3-hour hands-on class, we'll demystify choux from the ground up & get creative with fillings, toppings, and flavor combinations. Once you understand the science, choux will become one of the most fun & versatile doughs in your toolkit!

What to expect:
🥣 mixing and piping of choux pastry
👨🏻‍🍳 Assemble + taste your own cream puffs!
📚 Choux science + troubleshooting discussion
📕 PLUS a detailed recipe packet + cream puffs to take home

Crafted from our chocolate chip cookie base (minus the chocolate chips!), these delicious cookies feature the addition of oatmeal and are topped with rainbow chocolate sprinkles, making them quite a treat! 🌈 ✨💖
