It all started here. At 16, I baked my first sweet potato pie. Mom dad, and I were trying to recreate the magic of my paternal grandmother, who, for whatever reason, refused to give away her recipe. We figured it out, though...as a family. Who knew that all these years later, I'd still be baking. Today, I'm thankful for family, for legacy, and for traditions (both old and new) that create the ties that bind us all. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone, from my family to yours!
