JANUARY// For some reason, I always post these clocks on my birthday. I made them 4 or 5 years ago but I love them and it seems timely (sorry).

For a Cecilia update: She is in remission and the tumor is inactive! Still battling various side effects and working on getting back to "normal"

For a me update: I'm doing cookies again! Sorta! I'm baking on a pretty limited basis but reach out and thanks for the patience. ❤️

A brief cookie interruption to give a Cecilia update:

We finally have the results for the type of tumor Cecilia has - it is called a CNS neuroblastoma.

It has favorable outcomes with low recurrence rates and high survivability, this is good news! However, the path to those outcomes is intense.

A large portion of the tumor still remains, with parts wrapped around a major blood vessel. A third surgery was discussed but ultimately rejected because of the risks involved.

Because of the remaining size, she will receive a higher dose of radiation than previously expected. It will affect a huge variety of things. Her height, likely permanent hair loss on the left side, other things we won't see or know for years. But each side effect is manageable, things we can assess and solve as they come along.

I want to continually say how grateful I am for everyone following along with us and being so helpful and supportive.

Overall, she is doing really well and enjoying all the Halloween things like every 6 year old should.
