Happy September!

Fight the rainy day blahs with this Blue-barb Crisp: a perfectly tart rhubarb blueberry crisp with a beautiful border of sweet cheesecake cream. It's so good I almost kept them all in my dungeon kitchen for myself.

Good morning, Everypony!

Let's talk about Rarity. As a pony, she represents the element of generosity. She is hardworking, and obsessed with fashion.

As a drink, she is a classic tea latte, made with loose-leaf chai from our great friends at Fable. We steep the tea in steamed milk (of your choice) and add our house made vanilla and lavender syrups. The result is a not-too-sweet, glamorous hot beverage that will have your eyelashes fluttering.

Happy Back-to-School Month!

For September, we are inspired by My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic! There is something special about the MLP community - a focus on friendship, kindness, honesty, creativity, and passion that resonates long past childhood - in fact, I became a fan in my forties.

Ben took the lead on the flavors this month, and I think he included something fantastic for everypony:

Drinks -- the Mane Six;

-- Pinkie Pie: a birthday cake latte with strawberry cold foam, available hot or iced. This one is as exuberant as Pinkie Pie herself, with a touch of almond to give it that cake batter flavor.

-- Twilight Sparkle: this magical mocha cold brew is topped with a black raspberry cold foam.

-- Fluttershy: a sweet, perfect brown sugar peach lemonade, with peach syrup made from gorgeous Georgia peaches. Don't be bashful; add a Lotus energy shot!

-- Rainbow Dash: a bold (blue) white hot chocolate with marshmallow clouds and rainbow sugar.

-- Rarity: think London Fog, but it's made with loose leaf chai tea from Fable. Flavored with lavender and honey, it's topped with a black currant sugar. Rarity is only available hot.

-- Applejack: this cool spiced cider fizz is topped with a honey matcha cold foam, and it sure is fantastic.

Bagels:

-- Princess Celestia: a toasted bagel topped with a honey lemon cream cheese topped with sugared pomegranate seeds. Like something from the actual heavens.

-- Spike: a toasted bagel topped with a light layer of sundried tomato cream cheese, and smothered in caponata - a Sicilian eggplant and olive salad with peppers, onions, capers and tomato. It's kinda purple, and a tiny bit fiery, but like, it's a baby dragon so the spice is very subtle.

It's closing weekend for our Summer Camp specials, and the loss of Tim Curry means it's a Rocky Horror Post today. Michele as Janet (with me directing), me as Frank (2010), me as Frank and Kelley as Janet 2011, and a couple more of Michele as Janet, because damn girl.
We'll miss you, Mr. Curry. Thank you for being so much more than this movie, for changing lives, opening minds, and continuing to create, even through tremendous hardship, your whole life.
