One year ago today, I made one of the scariest decisions of my life.
I put in my notice at a stable corporate job to bet on a dream that had already begun changing my life.
That dream didn’t start as a business.
It started in 2023, at the height of my health struggles.
I was juggling a high-stress career while trying to figure out what was going on with my body. Between chronic illness, doctor appointments, and constant exhaustion, I knew something had to change.
I didn’t start baking because I wanted to own a bakery.
I started baking because I was searching for answers. I wanted simple, wholesome ingredients I could feel good about eating, and somewhere along the way, I fell in love with sourdough.
One loaf became another.
I shared a few with friends.
Friends became customers.
Customers became a community.
Then, in 2024, Little Cloud Bakery was born. ☁️
A year ago, I took the leap.
This bakery gave me something my corporate job never could—the ability to build a life around my health instead of constantly sacrificing it. It hasn’t made my health challenges disappear, but it has given me the flexibility to care for myself while doing work that truly fills my heart.
Today, Little Cloud Bakery is about so much more than bread. It’s about slowing down, choosing quality over convenience, supporting local, building community, and creating food with intention.
To everyone who has placed an order, visited my booth, supported a wholesale partner, shared a post, or believed in this little dream…
Thank you.
You helped turn one homemade loaf into a business that has completely changed my life.
Here’s to the first loaf in 2023…
