🌞 GOOD MORNING, COOLIDGE! ❤️🎡

We ended our evening at the Coolidge Days carnival last night, and goodness, my heart is FULL. 🥹❤️

The last carnival of the year has always held such a special place in my heart. I was always a carnival kid, and now getting to watch my mini experience it all for the FIRST YEAR? Watching those little eyes light up riding the rides, eating funnel cakes, playing carnival games, and making memories with Mr. Green Acres? Y’all, that fills my soul on a whole different level.

There is just something about getting to experience the magic of your own childhood all over again through your babies. ❤️

I love our little hometown so very much. The community, the traditions, the familiar faces, and the memories we get to make right here at home. I truly feel so blessed that we get to call Coolidge ours. Sometimes you just have to slow down, eat the funnel cake, enjoy the best conchas in town from Cafesito Boutique, ride the rides, and soak up the little moments. Those are the ones that end up meaning the most. 🎠✨

And because apparently, we don't know how to have a slow Sunday around here 😂🐷, we have an exciting day ahead of us!

We're welcoming our next round of pork-share hogs to the farm from our friends down at Copper State Hog Ranch!

We cannot WAIT to show y’all our new babies when they arrive. 🐖❤️

From carnival memories to new little faces on the farm, life around here sure keeps us busy, and we wouldn't have it any other way!

🎉🤠 WELL, COOLIDGE… THAT WAS A WHOLE LOT OF FUN! 🎉

Our first-ever parade with Green Acres Farm and Green Acres Waste & Rentals is officially in the books, and what an absolute BLAST we had! ❤️

We learned a whole heck of a lot, had so much fun seeing all your smiling faces, and now we have a pretty good idea of what we're getting ourselves into next time.

Because you know we can't just do something once and leave well enough alone!

🎄 NEXT UP: THE DECEMBER LIGHT PARADE! 🎄
And apparently, we have some work to do. We figure we're going to need approximately 800 MORE ROCK CANDY SUCKERS to keep the Christmas magic flowing! 🍭😂

And that's not all… we're going to need a whole boatload of ELVES to help pass out those suckers along the parade route!

Picture it now… Santa's dumpster bins, loaded up with Christmas magic, rolling through the parade route with Green Acres Waste bringing a whole new meaning to taking out the trash in style. 🎅🚛✨
So if you've ever wanted to be part of our little brand of organized chaos, keep your eyes open. We might just be recruiting elves before December rolls around! 🧝‍♀️🧝‍♂️

So shake a tail feather, grab your family, bring those kiddos, find your spot along the route, and come out ready to have some FUN! 🎊

🐮💕 GOLDEN GIRLS UPDATE! 💕🐮

Look at those girls! Their hair is growing back, their personalities are shining through, and we are officially starting the weaning process! 🥹

Dorothy and Blanche are beginning the transition toward one bottle in the morning, while they learn to eat more and more on their own. They still get their two bottles for now, but throughout the day, these little ladies are getting hungry, curious, and interested in their creeper feed. I've even caught them nibbling on their Bermuda grass in the evenings! 🌱

And let me tell you something… I am going to be SO FRICKIN' HAPPY when this bottle-baby feeding project is officially over! 😂🙌 Between mixing bottles, feeding schedules, and making sure these girls get everything they need, raising baby calves is a whole dang commitment!

But that's the goal. We want those rumens fully developed, those little digestive systems doing exactly what nature designed them to do, and two healthy girls who can fill their own bellies without waiting on Mom to show up with a bottle.

These girls had a rough start, and watching them heal, grow their hair back, and take these next little steps forward makes every bit of the work worth it. ❤️

One day at a time, one mouthful of creeper feed at a time, and one less bottle on the horizon!

OH. MY. GOD. 😂🍑

We got home, and naturally, your girl had to dive straight into that peach crumpet cake from Amadio Farms. And y’all… I went back and ate HALF THE DAMN CAKE MYSELF. 🤣

If you’ve never had a crumpet cake, I don’t even know how to explain the experience other than HEAVEN ON EARTH. It’s made with a batter more like pancakes or waffles than your traditional cake, and it’s just something truly special. Add the most beautiful, fresh peaches, and HOLY MOTHER OF CRUMPETS. 🍑🙌

I’m not even sorry. Not one little bit.

You know when you find something so good that you just have to stop what you’re doing and appreciate every single bite? THAT. WAS. THIS. CAKE.

If you ever get the chance to snag one from our friends at Amadio Ranch Heritage Farm DO IT. Your taste buds will thank you. Your self-control might not, but that’s between you and your conscience. 😂❤️

🥰🥰🥰🥰 birds of a feather 🪶 love them. Was such a pleasure 🙏

We love our relationships with other small community farms. No one understands the life we live here if you haven’t lived it. So having peers to talk to, and share experiences is super important.
A huge part of what we do is educate and try to mentor others looking to start community farms. Our motto is build it, figure it out, pass it on. Community farms are the future of agriculture for the cities of America. We love seeing it spread.

❤️🌾 A LITTLE LOVE FOR OUR FRIENDS AT AMADIO FARMS! 🌾❤️

You know whenever we make our way up into the Valley, we have to stop in and say hello to our dear friends at Amadio Ranch Heritage Farm! And of course, stock up on some of the BEST baked goodies this side of the Valley. 😍🥐🍞

But these folks mean so much more to us than just incredible baked goods. ❤️

I am so incredibly proud of them, their vision, everything they continue to build, and the heart they pour into what they do. Along our own journey with Green Acres, their friendship, mentorship, encouragement, and willingness to share what they've learned have meant more to us than they probably even realize.

Having people in your corner who understand the hard work, the long days, the dreams, and the occasional chaos of building something from the ground up is truly a gift. And we're so grateful to have them in our lives. 🥹❤️

So, if you're ever up this way, PLEASE go visit Amadio Farms! Say hello, grab yourself some goodies, and support some truly wonderful people who are doing beautiful things.

🌞 What a windy morning here on the farm 🌞

We’re down to the last fresh batches of the goodies until next week’s sourdough bread drop, so if you’ve been meaning to swing by, this is your friendly little nudge! 😉

🫐 Fresh blueberry cobbler muffins are stocked and ready to make your morning a whole lot better!

🥧 PIE WATCH: We are down to the last TWO apple pies! 🍎 1 traditional apple 🍏 1 Dutch apple
The remaining pumpkin pies have been moved into the farm fridge for safekeeping!

🥓 We’re also down to the last of our Pork Shop goodies until the next restock: • 4 peppered bacons • 5 Western sausages
Once these are gone, they’re gone until we restock!

Today, Mr. Green Acres Green Acres Waste & Rentals and I have to put our heads down and get these dumpsters delivered, keep the remaining dumpster here on the property, and get everything parade-ready. Whew! 😅 There is SO MUCH happening in the next day or two, and this girl has a to-do list that could probably use its own dumpster!

The farm store is stocked as well as I can get it for you guys, so come on by and treat yourself! We’ve got those holiday soaps, morning muffins, homemade ice creams, and all the other little goodies and accoutrements you’ve come to love. ❤️

It’s time for a little Cleaning Up Coolidge update! We’ve officially picked the date for November’s cleanup, and we’re putting it on the calendar before our calendars get any more ridiculous! 😂

📅 Saturday, November 21st ⏰ 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM 📍 Location: 🤫 I’m keeping that one under wraps for now!

I can’t wait to see everybody out there on the 24th for our next cleanup, and we’re already looking ahead to November! 💚

And listen, friends, NO PRESSURE and NO HARD FEELINGS! If you’ve already got something on your calendar and can’t make it, that’s perfectly okay! Life gets busy, schedules fill up, and we completely understand. ❤️

This is an open invitation, always. Mr. Green Acres and I will be out there doing our thing, and you’re welcome to join us whenever you can. Whether you make it this month, next month, or whenever life allows, we’re just happy to have folks who care about our community!
