We have officially made 120 sourdough loaves that are currently bulking… AND your girl has already baked her way through 40 sourdough loaves this morning. 😳🔥

And we. Are. NOT. DONE.

Next up after I survive this bake:
🥖 Get the buttermilk loaves going
🍪 Bake and prep the Bad Birdie cookies
🍪 Get those white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies baked
…and somehow continue functioning like a normal human being. 😂

Good morning, Green Acres crew! 👋🏻 It is officially 3 AM, which means your girl is already DEEP in it! 😂

🍞 The traditional sourdough loaves are already in the oven and baking away!

And while those are doing their thing, I’m getting ready to start mixing ANOTHER 120 LOAVES OF SOURDOUGH this morning! 😳🍞🍞🍞

Yep… you read that right. 150 MORE.

The commercial kitchen is fired up, the starter is ready, the oven is working, and your girl is caffeinated and ready to make some bread! ☕😂

This extra dough day has officially entered FULL SEND MODE. 💪🏻🔥

🚨 EXTRA DOUGH DAY UPDATE 🚨

Y’ALL. YOUR GIRL HAS BEEN BUSY. 😂🥖

We are officially sitting at OVER 90 SOURDOUGH LOAVES cold fermenting in the commercial fridge, and that’s just the beginning!

🍪 The Bad Birdie Salted Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies are cold fermenting away in the fridge.

🧄 I roasted 10 POUNDS OF GARLIC today… at the expense of my eyeballs. 👀🔥😂 Let me just say, if you see me squinting for the next 48 hours, mind your business.

🍎 ALL of the apple pie filling has been slow-cooked down to that beautiful, golden, caramelized goodness that is going to become the topping for our Apple Crisp Monster Buns.

🍁 Maple buttercream? PREPPED.

🍫 Chocolate buttercream? PREPPED.

And that chocolate buttercream is getting ready to meet our beautiful Double Chocolate Salted Caramel Filled Cupcakes. 🤤

AND because apparently I have absolutely no concept of stopping…

🍰 BISCOFF CHEESECAKE PERSONALS ARE LIVE IN THE FARM STORE! 🎉

📚 LITTLE SHELVING UPDATE:
We DID get the shelving units completed! 🙌🏻 I’m working on the very last shelf for the right-hand side as soon as Mr. Green Acres or our farm hand has a little additional time to help me finish it up.

And now…

⏰ 3 AM START TIME TOMORROW.

Because we’re doing it all over again. 😂

Tomorrow’s agenda includes ANOTHER 120 SOURDOUGH LOAVES, our old-fashioned buttermilk loaves, Macadamia White Chocolate Cookies, and Lord only knows what else is going to get added to the list before I crawl into bed tonight. 😂

At this point, I’m pretty sure the commercial kitchen and I are in a committed relationship.

Y’all… WHAT. A. DAY. 😵‍💫😂

But we are getting there. One batch, one loaf, one cookie, one buttercream bowl, and one very tired baker at a time. ❤️

Apparently there is a point where roasting garlic goes from “mmm, delicious” to “WHY ARE MY EYES BETRAYING ME?!” 😂

Your girl is over here fighting for her life in the kitchen this morning. 🫠

When you roast this much garlic, all those lovely sulfur compounds decide to make their grand escape and unfortunately, my eyeballs were standing directly in the line of fire. 👀🔥 ran me straight out of the kitchen omg

So if you see this picture and wonder what happened…

I was not crying.
I was not having a breakdown.
I was simply being personally attacked by 10 POUNDS OF GARLIC. 😂😂

But it’s all worth it because this garlic is going into our Whole Roasted Garlic & Fresh Rosemary Sourdough Loaf and let me tell you… these loaves are going to be LEGIT. 🤤🌿🧄

Your girl has officially mixed 80+ sourdough loaves and they are now sitting pretty for their bulk ferment! 🙌🏻

In a couple of hours, we’ll be splitting and tucking these babies away into the fridge for their overnight cold proof. ❄️🥖

But we are FAR from done today. 😂 Next up on the agenda:

🍪 Getting the Bad Birdie cookies prepped for their cold proof
🍎 Preparing the apple pie filling
🤎 Making the cinnamon bun filling

Apparently Facebook has decided that I need a new personality. 😂

I have been receiving messages from people telling me they’re getting automatically generated messages from the Green Acres business page.

I DID NOT SEND THESE.
I DID NOT SET THESE UP.
I DO NOT WANT TO USE THIS FEATURE. 😂

I have gone through my Facebook business settings and it tells me these automations are OFF. Yet somehow Facebook is still out here apparently sending messages on my behalf. 🤦🏻‍♀️

So if you receive some weird automated message from this page that sounds nothing like me… IT’S NOT ME. 😂

I am actively trying to figure out how to make Facebook stop doing whatever the hell it is doing, but so far it seems to have developed a mind of its own.

There is a very good chance I will NOT be responding to these messages, because I genuinely cannot tell which ones are actually being sent to me versus whatever Facebook has decided to unleash upon the world.

🚨📢 FORMAL PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FROM GREEN ACRES BREAD DROP INFORMATION 📢🚨

Tomorrow is our EXTRA DOUGH DAY and we are about to enter absolute sourdough chaos. 😂

We are pushing 230+ LOAVES for this bread drop, and because the Traditional Sourdough AND Jalapeño Cheddar sold out FIRST last time and I have received approximately 47,000 messages, phone calls, and emotional support requests about it…

I AM LISTENING. 😂

I am adding 80 ADDITIONAL LOAVES specifically between the Traditional and Jalapeño Cheddar for this drop.

Which means we are doing:

🍞 DOUGH DAY — Wednesday
🔥 Dough Day/BAKE DAY — Thursday
🔥 BAKE DAY/FULL BREAD DROP— Friday

THURSDAY:
Once the Traditional and Jalapeño Cheddar Sourdoughs are baked, cooled, and packaged, I will be taking them out to the Farm Store for anyone who wants to swing by and grab one.

So if you missed them last time…

THIS IS YOUR WARNING. 😂

📢 If you were one of the people who called me because you missed the Traditional or Jalapeño Cheddar last bread drop, BE. HERE. THURSDAY. AFTERNOON.

Because I have done my part. I have added the loaves. I have added another dough day. I am sacrificing another bake day. I am fighting for your bread. 😂

🍞 FRIDAY BREAD DROP

Friday’s full bread drop will be AFTER NOON.

I’m putting 3:00 PM on the calendar as my target time because, as you all know, I cannot predict exactly how long it takes to bake, cool, package, and get 230+ loaves of bread and an entire menu of goodies out the door. 😂

So:

⏰ TARGET: Everything LIVE by 3:00 PM Friday

That means I’m AIMING to have the full bread drop live and ready to shop by 3 PM.

Friday’s bread lineup will include:

🍞 Traditional Sourdough
🌶️🧀 Jalapeño Cheddar
🧄🌿 Whole Roasted Garlic & Fresh Rosemary
🥓🧀 Smoked Gouda & Bacon

PLUS the cinnamon buns, cupcakes, and all of the other goodies from this month’s menu. ❤️

And because I know someone is going to ask me:

YES. I WILL POST WHEN IT IS LIVE. 😂

You do not need to message me every 14 minutes asking if the bread is ready. I promise you, when 230+ loaves of sourdough are sitting out there, I will be yelling about it. 😂

Prep is DONE and your girl is officially surrounded by cheese, bacon, Gouda and jalapeños. 🤣

Today we knocked out:
🧀 10 pounds of sharp cheddar
🥓 8 pounds of smoked GOUDA
🌶️ 25 pounds of chopped jalapeños
🥤 A FULL drink restock!

And because it’s September… 🎃☕️
We have some Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew available! Once the pumpkin spice syrup we have on hand is gone, that’s it until next season, so grab it while you can!
