I’ve never been so happy to sit in traffic.
There are so many volunteers coming to help our town that the roads are backed up. I spent my slow morning drive in tears watching truck after truck on its way to clean up a community in shambles.

Last night’s tornado went over my children’s daycare, over my house, and then touched down a few minutes later. We are so incredibly fortunate to have so narrowly escaped losing everything, let alone our lives.

If anyone would like to donate food, clothing, blankets, or just basic everyday necessities today or tomorrow, you can bring them to me at home or at Ivey Cake. I’ll be taking donations to the well outreach and the shelter on Saturday.
