Updated hours!
Alani Bakery is now CLOSED on Mondays and Tuesdays!
If you have a pickup already scheduled, nothing will change for you! Moving forward, we will no longer be scheduling pickups on Mondays or Tuesdays. We DO deliver custom orders outside of our open hours!!
Most of you know, but for those who don't, we are a small, family owned and run business. David and I have been working 6, sometimes 7 days a week since we opened last May. We have one full-time baker who has been amazing and working overtime for us as well.
I underestimated how busy we could get in just a year, and balancing everything has been a learning experience for us. This month, I took on way more orders than I should have and ended up working 80 hour weeks, staying until midnight some nights. I am only one person cranking out the decorating for up to 25 orders a week, and I am SO thankful that we are doing so well, but I am also exhausted.
That being said, WE ARE HIRING!!!! We are looking for a skilled decorator for cakes AND/OR sugar cookies! Please send resumes and portfolios to [email protected]
Moving forward, we are limiting our custom cake capabilities to approximately 20 orders a week, and we are no longer taking new sugar cookie orders **UNTIL we find an additional decorator.** We always try to take last minute orders when we can, but I believe our last minute availability is going to continue being scarce. We booked June over a month in advance and have multiple weeks in July, August, September, and October that are already fully booked. But please continue to reach out and ask, it never hurts to check!
Additionally, David and I are getting married on Saturday, September 26! Our wonderful baker, Jaymie, will be running the show until noon that day, and then closing early to come join the festivities. We will be CLOSED on Sunday, September 27 as well.
