Situated in the heart of North Carolina, Mrs. Hanes' Moravian Cookies has been keeping a traditional German art alive for decades on end. Moravian cookies are the main attraction around here, with six crispy varieties including black walnut, butterscotch, and lemon.

Still think about my mother everyday and miss her.
Just wanted to share these memories again.
A simple woman with a dream. When she passed away, 3 years ago,( how is that possible)? The New York Times, requested to shared her obituary. The headline was: “Mrs. Hanes, Baker. She made Moravian Cookies Famous.”
That was my mom.
Enjoy, a journey of her life in pictures. Thanks to her Grandson, Jedidiah Hanes Templin. Now President of our bakery.
