🐔 Meet the Flock: Pru 💙🥚

Everyone, meet Pru! 💕 Our sweet Easter Egger and now officially our second layer here at Nest & Knead! 🎉

Pru has already started her egg-laying journey, and she’s blessing us with the prettiest blue eggs! 💙🥚

✨ Fun Easter Egger facts:
• Easter Eggers aren’t actually a specific breed — they’re mixed-breed chickens carrying the blue-egg gene.
• They can lay eggs in a variety of beautiful colors, including blue, green, olive, and sometimes even pinkish or tinted shades! 🌈
• Their appearance can vary a LOT — you never quite know what combination of colors, patterns, beards, muffs, or personalities you’ll get!
• Many Easter Eggers have adorable beards and cheek muffs that give them so much personality. 🥰
• Their eggs are just as nutritious as other chicken eggs — they’re simply extra pretty! 💙

🐔 MEET THE FLOCK: ROSALIE 💙

Everyone, meet Rosalie, our beautiful Sapphire Gem! 💙 She holds a very special place here at Nest & Knead because she was our FIRST EVER EGG LAYER! 🥚🎉

Rosalie is sweet, curious, and clearly a little overachiever because she decided she was ready to get the Nest & Knead egg production started before everyone else. 😂

✨ A few fun Sapphire Gem facts:
• 💙 Sapphire Gems are known for their beautiful blue/gray coloring and often have a gorgeous slate-colored appearance.
• 🥚 They’re excellent layers and can produce around 250–300 brown eggs per year under good conditions.
• 🌸 They’re generally known for being friendly, calm, and easygoing chickens.
• 🌱 They’re great foragers and love spending time scratching around looking for tasty little treasures.
• 👀 Sapphire Gems are a hybrid breed, rather than a traditional standardized breed, so their coloring and appearance can vary a bit from chicken to chicken.

And Rosalie? She’s officially our OG Nest & Knead egg girl. 🥚👑

We’re so excited to introduce you to all of our flock members as they each get their moment in the spotlight!
