Reservations are now open for our Dia de Mu***os Dinner!

Join us on Sunday, November 3rd, for our Dia de Mu***os Dinner.

Enjoy an intimate 5 course Dia de Mu***os inspired menu.

$65 for dinner
$30 for wine pairing

Hi folks! With the Padres NOT winning yesterday, and then playing tomorrow for their final game against the Dodgers, we are postponing our Disney inspired Halloween Treats until Saturday, October 12th.

All other themes are not affected and will still be on as planned (even if the Padres advance) Thank you for understanding!

You know what that means. It's spooky season!!!
Mark your calendars. Each weekend, we will be changing up our theme for our treats!

Items will be available for purchase on the first day starting at 5pm. Everything will be available until sold out (we will try to have plenty for everyone)

Good news! This Saturday, Oct. 5th starting at 3 pm, we will have limited quantities of Padres inspired treats available! We will have them available until we sell out (we will try to make more treats for Sunday, but we are participating at the Food and Wine Festival this weekend as well).

Second good news. We will be open Tuesday and Wednesday from 3pm to 9pm and will have Padres treats available!

Job Description:
We are looking for a hard-working, friendly, energetic server/batista to work with us in the heart of Downtown Chula Vista. As a batista, you will skillfully craft the perfect coffees and drinks with consistency by following recipes. Attention to detail and work quickly and accurately to help ensure success. Also responsible for keeping stations clean, organized, and stocked. Mornings, we serve sit-down brunch, so interacting with customers, taking orders, and serving food orders to customers is required.

Qualifications/Reponsabilities:
- Must be 21 or older
- At least 1 year with Barista/Serving experience
- Reliable Transportation
- Must be available Mornings, Weekends, and Holidays
- Occasional evening availability
- Team Player
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations during rush
- Keep stations clean and organized per Health Department Standards
- Complete opening side work duties to ensure that the bar/coffee area is set up and ready for the shift
- Taking inventory accurately and on a timely manner
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service
- ID anyone purchasing alcohol
- Taking customers' food orders, serving food
- Checking up on customers to ensure a nice experience
- Cutting cake slices for order/boxing pastries for customers
- Eye for detail
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately
- Familiar with POS System (Toast) a plus
- Must have or be able to obtain a CA Food Handlers Certificate
- Must have or be able to obtain Alcohol Becerage Control Responsible Beverage Service Training certification
- Other duties as directed

A bit of history. Many people in the South Bay remember a bakery called George's Wonderful World of Cakes. They specialized in many things from Danish Pastries to, yes, Cakes.

One of the most famous cakes that came out of this wonderful place was the Lemon Snow Cake. It was a Vanilla Cake, frosted in Lemon Curd and covered in Coconut.

With Lemon Festival happening this weekend, it's only appropriate to honor this delicious cake and make it available for the month of August! Come and try a slice of this tasty homage to George's.
