Our family loves getting away together, whether that means a road trip, a campsite, or somewhere completely new, annnd we always have a suitcase full of bread! 😂

Traveling, camping, exploring new places… those are some of our favorite ways to spend time as a family. And somehow, no matter where we’re headed, we always seem to leave home with an unreasonable amount of bread.

Sandwich loaves, some kind of breakfast bread, maybe a few cookies tucked in for good measure. Bread just travels with us.

I actually love looking up little local bakeries when we travel I always have, and we’ve found some really fun places along the way. But when you’re used to having a certain kind of bread at home: simple ingredients, long fermentation, and something you know your family loves, it can be surprisingly hard to replace it on the road.

And I think that’s part of why I love salt so much.

It isn’t really about making “fancy” bread. It’s about making the kind of food I want to feed my own family and hopefully making life a little easier for other families who want the same thing.

Good bread for everyday life.

At home, around the dinner table, packed in a cooler, or halfway across the country. 🤍

A little change of plans for this weekend! 🩷

The Chelsea Community Center Fall Craft Fair has been cancelled, so you won’t find the pink tent there Saturday after all.

I’m sorry you won’t have any bread this weekend, BUT I’ll be opening preorders tomorrow!

I’ll share the menu and pickup details then. I’m excited to get back in the kitchen and get some good bread headed to your tables again.
