Now that I’ve had my protein pumpkin pancakes and nitro brew, I’m ready to talk about yesterday. 😂☕️🎃

Being a small business owner is something ELSE.

Things don’t always happen the way you planned, but some days… they get even more complicated.

I ended my Friday night thinking I would have to withdraw from BOTH events I had scheduled for Saturday due to staffing shortages. I was looking at my inventory — DOZENS of cookies just waiting to find their people — and I was feeling pretty discouraged.

But people aren’t joking when they say communities come together. 🥹

FOUR individuals stepped up to help staff my tables — including my parents (if you stopped by the Cedarburg Farmers Market, you probably saw them! 😂).

And just like that, I could finally relax my neck muscles knowing I was covered. 😭

But THAT’S NOT ALL.

✨ I connected with a couple of nonprofits about future collaborations
✨ I received AMAZING feedback from customers about the customer service experience
✨ TWO SOLD-OUT EVENTS
✨ Despite the rain, Mayhemers SHOWED UP
✨ Someone donated $15 through “Buy Me a Coffee” to help provide cookies
✨ 3 kiddos left Heal The Hood MKE with a cookie
✨ And because my staffing was covered, I was able to restock cookies over at Tickled Pink Makers Market in Mayfair!

Honestly? I’m still in shock over everything that happened yesterday.

I went into Saturday expecting to be scrambling just to survive the day, and instead, I walked away reminded of exactly WHY I do this.

For every person who bought a cookie, stopped to chat, shared a post, helped at a table, donated, gave feedback, connected me with an organization, or simply showed up:

Bethmayhem may be a small business, but the Mayhem community is BIG.

And yesterday, y’all showed me just how big. 🖤🍪

I truly can’t express how grateful I am.
