If you know anything about Jenn (beyond her love of cake), it's that she loves NYC.

August's Cake of the Month is inspired by a recent trip to Madison Fare, a tiny frozen yogurt shop that had people lining up around the block. Today's frozen yogurt is a giant departure from the TCBY of the 1980's -- tart, tangy, and loaded with luxe toppings.

The standout was a tart yogurt base with blueberry compote, honey, and pistachio cream. She couldn't stop talking about it -- so this month we recreated it for you.

Blueberry Honey — August's Cake of the Month.

🫐 Light, moist vanilla cake layers
🫐 Rich blueberry filling
🍯 Greek yogurt buttercream — giving it that same tangy, tart edge I fell in love with in New York
🍯 honey and pistachio cream drizzle

It's familiar and comforting, but with just enough tang to make it feel new. That's the whole idea — taking something a little unexpected and turning it into a cake anyone can enjoy.

The Dreamsicle — July's Cake of the Month!

Inspired by that iconic orange and vanilla pairing we've all loved since childhood, this cake takes the classic Creamsicle flavor and turns it into something truly special:

You love it. You also kind of dread it. The crowds, the parking, the road closures, the full county tour needed to get around the festival footprint.

But the food? The flavors? That part is genuinely great.
