Hello Facebook Friends!
A Saturday night announcement:
Sometimes a business doesn’t always go the way you plan.
There seems to always be Unexpected surprise expenses, undisclosed issues with equipment, overhead that kills your bottom line so severely it’s almost impossible for you to stay ahead...
When that happens you can make some choices- you can cut costs by #1 skimming on quality, #2 try to cut some overhead or #3 close the doors.
Since we pride ourselves on quality option #1 is out of the question- it leaves us with #2 & #3.
#2 becomes difficult- we can close our storefront- operate as a car side/ walk up window style service, get involved with as many markets and vendor spaces as we can- hope it works.
#3- well, let’s just say option 3 is so painful- it really makes it not an option.
So- it looks like #2 it is!
What does this mean?
Well- quite frankly- we aren’t sure. BUT- we are about to find out. The vision is similar to that of a custard stand- were you would walk up, place an order for pastries, beverages, sandwiches, pizza, etc. at the store front window. The cashier will gather your order and complete the sale. In the event of inclimate weather- call ahead- we can bring the order to your vehicle!
We know this is a big & sad announcement- it’s not one we wanted to make- trust us. We’ve sat on this for quite a while now and it’s becoming clear this is our next step. It is one that gives us the best chance of surviving the current economic situation while maintaining the high standards we’ve set for our products.
We aren’t giving up without a fight & appreciate all of the love and support we’ve gotten in this journey.
We plan on participating in more events in the upcoming fall and winter season- to bring our goodies to you!
Our hours of operation are intended to continue as usual just in a smaller format.
Now- for the last bit- when will this happen? This transition will start at the end of June with us being fully moved into 257 Shell Rd and operating from that space only by the end of July.
We appreciate everyone’s love and continued support as we manage through this transition.
See you all soon!
Heather & Jake
