*Full Transparency* For the past month I've been trying to navigate a solution to a problem and... I'm defeated. 🏳
The apartment complex where I live will not allow me to "run a business" from home. As a registered NYS home baker you can only use your own home kitchen. So, if I don't want to lose the roof over my family's head I have to stop selling cookies until we move. We have looked into moving but my daughter has 2 years left at WS West & that has made things difficult.
I barely got my feet wet with this new adventure & I didn't realize how much it all meant to me until it was taken away. I found something I have a passion for, that I'm good at, that others enjoy & I will not give up. I LOVE the business I have created, I love not just making cookies, but designing & creating unique pieces of edible art.
I will not "shut down" Sobo Sweets, because I will be back. This is just a hiccup & I hope you'll hang in there with me! I will still make cookies, and most definitely GIVE them away! I will continue to improve my skills, learn new things and practice for when I can sell again! I will continue to share what I'm working on here because I enjoy it!
I have a couple orders on the schedule that I've committed to for the month of September. Those will be fulfilled as planned, I am looking forward to them!
I can't thank everyone enough for the continued support especially those that have encouraged me this past month. 💗
Things that are meant to be have a way of working out... just gotta hang in til then.
