🔥💯--SOLD--💯🔥
A huge THANK YOU! To everyone who messaged and grabbed eggs. I'll post again in the future if we are over flowing again. ❤
Good morning!
A few updates, I will not be at the Crosby Farmers Market this Saturday 8/8 or Saturday 8/15. But I do have availability on for Monday, Friday, and Saturday if you'd like to place an order for pickup next week.
Additionally, I am looking for a home for not 1, not 2, but 30 dozen eggs. That's right 30. Dozen. We help my dad out with his mini chicken farm and they are overflowing at the moment as his younger chickens are laying consistently now.
A bit about these chickens, they don't free range as much anymore as they used to due to the bears, foxes and coyotes coming around during the day this summer but! Their coop is bigger than my kitchen, and their fenced in play area is bigger than my house. These girls are royally spoiled - but not rotten. Well fed, they get meal worm treats, fresh fruts and veggies, and snuggles galore. 😉
Eggs are $4/dozen, they are fresh this week and looking for a home that isn't just my bakery.
If you've never bought farm fresh eggs before, please note: they do get scraped clean of debris but they are not washed. Fresh eggs need to be washed before use to ensure they are clean and clear of any bacteria or potential p**p residue. However, by not washing them, the bloom helps them stay fresher longer and if they were not previously refrigerated, they can sit on the counter and stay fresh on the counter for up to 3 weeks. Once refrigerated, they should remain refrigerated but can still last over a month (realistically you'd have eaten them by then). Google the egg float test, I do this for all eggs regardless just to be safe.
