UPDATE! We were fairly busy at the market today despite needing to leave by 10am. When I arrived home at the bakery, there were more people already here waiting to buy the surplus. At this point we're pretty cleaned out, and since I've been up since 2am, I'm ready to call it a day. Thanks everyone for coming out and supporting us!!!
We’ve just been informed that we need to be packed up and off the square tomorrow by 10am. This is painful news after just completing a full week of work…everything has been baked already, ready to go.
If you were planning to come to the market tomorrow, please please please try to get there as early as possible. Since we need to be off the square by 10am, it will be difficult to be selling after 9:30. We will probably have a mountain of bread, granola, and pastries left over, and on such notice I have no alternative plan as to how to sell it. If you can’t make it to the market early, you could probably come out to the bakery to pick things up after the market, but we will be unable to offer any home delivery.
As we shared earlier today we mourn with our community. And we agree - business cannot proceed as usual - we are closing the market at 10am tomorrow.
The market will be open with shortened hours as an essential food distribution point to get sustenance into the hands of our community. Farmers will be around the Square from 6:15am-10am. SNAP/EBT and Double Dollars services will be provided 7:00am-9:30am.
