What’s your favorite berry? Do you grow them? Where do you like to go picking??

These small bundles of bright flavor are some of my favorite things about summer! My kids are fortunate enough to have all 3 of these types growing right on our property as well as strawberries and gooseberries! One day hopefully producing enough to be the main source for my baking but I don’t see their appetites slowing down enough for that😂

How’s everyone’s gardens coming along?! Our onions and broccoli are filling out and the lettuce has been a dinner staple recently!

I’m not made of sugar, but French macarons are so this rain in making us stay in today. Those pesky rounds of perfection do not like anything wet, but we will be back next week with the last of May flavors and strawberry rhubarb jam and galettes!

They’re in!!! Local strawberries are here so that means a limited quantity of strawberry rhubarb galettes will be available tomorrow and strawberry rhubarb jam should be at markets next week! Home grown rhubarb and Hunterdon county frown strawberries from some of my favorite farms🍓🍓

Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Have you had these brown butter chocolate chunk cookies at any of my local markets? I may be biased but these are delicious! My opinion when it comes to cookies- whenever possible, brown the butter and if it’s chocolate? Sprinkle some sea salt to help bring out that flavor!
