Caedan's round challah is at Breadworks this week for Rosh Hashanah in both traditional and raisin filled! Call to pre order or head in early to grab one!
His classic challah is now available there every Friday too, plus Oat Porridge Sourdough on Mondays, Rosemary Sourdough on Wednesdays, and Sesame Sourdough on Fridays! So if you've been missing your Beehive bread, you can now find some of our best sellers at Breadworks weekly!

Happy New Year! We are offering round loaves of challah this Wednesday through Friday for Rosh Hashanah.

We will have both regular Challah as well as Raisin Challah! Swing by anytime from 6:30-3:00 to pick up your loaf!

The end of an era. The last time our Friday morning bread rack will look like this, packed full of fresh hot out of the oven loaves.
Our tables are filled with so many of the things that we have loved baking for you over the years- scones, muffins, cakes, cookies, granola, croissants, cinnamon buns, puddings.
All ready for a good home.

And it's the last time we'll get to say this - today's bread is cooling, baked goods are getting packed, and we are just about ready to head your way with (our last) fresh baked, front porch local deliveries!

We know this is right, but it's just so hard! On to new beginnings!

Dear customers,

After months of thinking and tough discussions, we have made the bittersweet decision to close Beehive Baking Company. The bakery has been our life for the better part of a decade, but now that we have a newborn at home our priorities have shifted. Beehive has always been a labor of love and has enriched our lives beyond measure - we truly feel like a part of the community and the bakery has brought us countless meaningful connections.

Having a small family run business requires total dedication. You never really clock out or go home - you're always working, thinking, planning and dreaming on how to provide your absolute best. Over the past seven years, we have loved, nurtured and prioritized the bakery, but now we are at a point in our lives where we need a more even work-life balance to dedicate more time to our little one and focus on our growing family.

You've made our lives richer and so many ways and and we hope that Beehive has served its intended purpose of bringing a little joy into your homes! We've been profitable, supported and continuously humbled by the generosity you've shown us since we started baking out of our little duplex in 2017. The hardest part of making the decision to close is knowing that we won't be seeing you every week!

We plan to offer one final delivery on Friday 7/12 (orders will open soon!) We will also be at the Irondale Farmers Market the next 2 Saturdays!

Also big news!!! 🎉
Caedan is so thrilled to have accepted a position at Birmingham Breadworks as the new bakery manager! He'll be there full time in August - he can't wait to bring some of our most popular specials with him over time, so the spirit of Beehive will still be available to the community! Keep an eye on the Breadwork's bread racks for your faves!

So many of you have touched our lives and entered our hearts in ways we never expected when we started Beehive.
