a note from kim
I know that during this time of year, I get a little more vitality in believing and living the way I do.
amazing desires to bake better, be better, and to show up stronger for the world.
the day to day hard work gives me a greater depth of meaning and clarity to my dreams for myself and pure pastry's future.
to honor the holidays in early spring and the month for the earth, we are immersing ourselves deeper into the magical world of sustainable baking. bringing what is naturally offered to us. keeping simplicity that comes from our space and forming more profound bonds between living well and eating well.
a natural wildness will always exist in me and pure pastry. my life's journey will forever tell a tale of the natural world and its influence, which will always shine through to my baking.
the mindful practices that preserves the natural beauty of the wild.
where we plant the healthy, full organic lives we wish to lead. where we sow the seeds for a better tomorrow.
creating pastries to work harmoniously with our surroundings and the earth will forever be our intentions.
for these unique holidays and beyond, let us create for you beautiful and satisfying confections. our new menu is filled with whimsy & delightful pastries of all kinds. please take a look, and as always, we would be more than honored to bake for you and your loved ones for this season of spring.

🌱 Earth Month at Pure Pastry 🌱
This month, we’re letting nature take the spotlight—one delicious bite at a time.
You may notice something a little different (and wonderfully green) in our menu: we’re using algae oil wherever possible in place of traditional oils. Why algae? It’s a tiny but mighty powerhouse—rich in heart-healthy fats, clean in flavor, and grown with far less land and water than conventional crops. That means it’s not only a nourishing choice for you, but a gentler one for the planet, too.
Our commitment to the earth doesn’t stop there. Our home base is a certified organic property and a protected wildlife sanctuary, where monarch butterflies flutter, bats help keep ecosystems in balance, and fireflies light up summer evenings. We grow as many of our ingredients as we can right here—including the edible flowers you’ll find tucked into our pastries. What we don’t grow ourselves is thoughtfully sourced from local farmers and trusted partners, including the wonderful stewards at New Entry Sustainable Farming Project in Beverly.
We are proudly plastic-free and part of the Slow Food Movement, embracing traditions that honor good, clean, and fair food for all. We’re also working toward becoming members of both the Green Restaurant Association and the Sustainable Restaurant Association.
Every choice we make—big or small—is rooted in care: for your health, for our local ecosystems, and for the future of food.
So as you enjoy this month’s menu, know that you’re tasting something bigger: a little bit of care for your body, a little bit of love for the land, and a whole lot of intention. 🌼
in honor of earth month, any customers that come to shop at the tiny sweet market and brings their own container will receive a free hummus cookie or forager's peanut butter cup while supplies last!
